Our Expanded Course Locations

Would you like to work in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Industry? Carving out a successful career in this booming industry is achievable (even if you have no industry experience) with a course from Innopharma Labs.  We’ve been successfully placing 70%+ of our students into employment within the industry for the past 7 years. And our concentrated courses mean that in less than a year you could be on a steady career path too.

Now Innopharma Labs are delighted to announce that course locations outside of Dublin now include Athlone, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford. Below, we outline why we have expanded our offering and what you can expect when you study with Innopharma Labs.

Easier Access

Our decision to expand was based on two key factors. Firstly, we found that a number of students choosing to study with us were travelling long distances to access our courses. Broadening our locations across the country means it is now even easier for students to study with us.

Demand and Growth

We also found that Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Food companies located in these regions are rife with job opportunities for people with the right skill set. We wanted to be able to fill this knowledge gap with qualified students. For example in Athlone, the emergence of companies like Alexion, Alkermes and Jazz Pharmaceuticals has given rise to increasing demand for those skilled in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Something to Suit Every Level of Experience

The courses are ideal for anyone wishing to upskill for the pharmaceutical/medical device and food industries with a number of study options available to suit a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

For those without previous experience or training in these sectors, the level 6 certificate is an ideal way to get your foot in the door.  If you’re considering the level 8 course, you will be required to have a level 7 qualification in a related field of study.

Get The Skills You Need In A Short Space Of Time

Courses at Innopharma Labs are concentrated over a relatively short period of time. Most of the level 6 – 8 courses run for a 6 month period while the Master's courses take 12 months to complete. Students are required to attend class two to three days a week.

“A New Direction”

Barry Newman had been unemployed for four months before signing up for the Level 8 Course in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturing at Innopharma Labs.  Barry’s background was in manufacturing, and he had worked in Hewlett Packard before being offered voluntary severance due to restructuring.

“I was really attracted to this course as it was not going to take two or three years to complete,” says Barry. “I was able to complete and graduate in six months.”

Within a few months, he found work as a supervisor with KCI in Athlone.  Barry is delighted to be back in the workforce and he loves working at KCI.

“I can now put into practice what I have learned on the course and do it in a challenging but world-class organisation.”

Over 70% Of Our Students Find Employment Within Six Months

Innopharma Labs have an enviable success rate when it comes to getting people into employment with over 70% successful placement for our students. When you choose Innopharma Labs, you benefit from our strong networks within the industry. Many of our lecturers have held senior management positions with major blue chip multinational companies in Ireland and internationally, and bring this experience and expertise to their lectures.

“A Great Opportunity to build my career”

Kristina Vushkarnik was unemployed for six months. She completed the Level 7 course with Innopharma Labs and is now happily working with the pharma company Servier in Dublin.

She says, “Despite the intensity of this course, it was worth every minute of my attending it. The course offered me a variety of skills and would have been very difficult to find a suitable job without completing the course.”

Towards the end of the first semester Kristina found employment with French pharmaceutical company Servier in Dublin, working in their Compliance section.

Kristina loves her job and believes that the Innopharma Labs course gave her the opportunity she needed to succeed.

Kristina adds, “As the pharmaceutical industry is growing in Ireland very fast, I would advise anyone to grab the opportunity and learn new skills and build on their existing career.”

Our Typical Student Profile

There is no typical Innopharma Labs student! We have an interesting mix of students from a variety of backgrounds. Some of our students have recently left school, while others have been laid off mid-career or took a career break to raise a family. Many of our students already have multiple qualifications but want to up-skill to improve their career prospects. We also cater to people who are unemployed and would like to enter the workplace.

Broaden Your Career Prospects

Innopharma Labs students have successfully forged a career path in a number of high growth industries. The majority of these are in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or food industries.  Former students have also successfully secured positions in computing industries, particularly if they have undertaken the data analytics course. Other students have set up their own business after completing their studies.
