The Certificate in Science in Pharmaceutical Technology is a postgraduate qualification designed for professionals seeking to build or advance a career in the pharmaceutical industry, including operators, supervisors, technicians, managers, quality control and assurance personnel, regulatory affairs professionals, and technology transfer staff.

Developed and taught by experienced academics and industry lecturers, this course is delivered through blended learning, 2 evenings per week online and 2 Saturdays per month with a mix of online and in-person.
Accreditation: QQI Level 9 Certificate in Science in Pharmaceutical Technology (Minor Award – 25 ECTS).

Course Outline
The Certificate in Pharmaceutical Quality Systems Validation is offered as a part-time running over two semesters (programme,
6 months). The programme uses a blended learning approach, combining online modules with on-campus sessions, allowing for flexible scheduling to accommodate different needs.
Part time learners attend classes two evenings per week (6.30pm – 9.30pm) and two Saturdays per month. Evening classes are delivered online and are also broadcast live and recorded.
This course will cover the following modules.
Module 1: Pharmaceutical Technology Transfer
Module 2: Processes, Production and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems
Module 3: Regulatory Landscape of Pharmaceutical Business

Upon completing the Certificate in Pharmaceutical Quality Systems Validation, graduates will possess the following attributes:

Entry Requirements
Level 8 primary degree with a 2.2 award or higher in a cognate discipline in science, quality, manufacturing, engineering, data analytics, project management, medicine or related discipline. Recognition of Prior Learning can also be considered to gain access.
