This short and practical course will help learners develop and demonstrate new specialist skills and knowledge to effectively work in an increasingly digitised environment. In today’s fast-paced global economy, rapid advancements in new technologies, in conjunction with the abundance of large quantities of data in virtual work environments are driving the need for updated skills and competencies.

This programme is focused on building these key transversal and business skills which add value to every sector and work environment. These skills include how to make sense of digital information and present it in a meaningful way to the appropriate audience, the importance of critical thinking, effective multicultural communications, and ethical / corporate responsibilities.

Through participation in the programme, learners will gain essential skills to support expanding smart manufacturing and service led operations, enabling participants to make a valuable contribution to the implementation of digitalisation strategies within their organisations.

The aim of this course is to equip learners with an understanding of diverse transversal skills that are now required to work effectively in an increasingly global and digitised environment, across multiple manufacturing and service related industries.

Learners will gain essential knowledge and work-aligned skills that will help prepare them for the challenges posed by the fast pace of change in organisations, enabling them to make informed decisions, effectively problem solve and successfully contribute to the development of digital strategies.

Minimum H7/O6 in five leaving Cert subjects or equivalent. Proficiency in English Language Required (B2+ level or equivalent on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Learners may complete additional micro credential programmes in the areas of Operational Excellence and Supply Chain to obtain 60 ECTS at Level 6 in Operational Excellence for Process Digitisation. Learners may also complete micro credential programmes in IT & Industrial Automation and Data Analysis & Visualisation to obtain 60 ECST at Level 6 in IT for Process Digitisation.
