Course Overview
Businesses across all sectors are under pressure to work more efficiently, respond more quickly to change, make better use of data and deliver greater value to customers.
This programme helps learners develop the knowledge and tools to support that transition.
The programme explores key themes including business process improvement, digital transformation, operational excellence, data-informed decision-making, innovation and change. Learners will examine how digital technologies and structured improvement approaches can be used to enhance efficiency, communication, service delivery and overall business performance.
This programme is designed for learners who want to strengthen their ability to improve business processes, support digital change and contribute to more effective ways of working. It is suited to those working in business, administration, operations, customer service, project support, quality or team leadership roles.
It is also suitable for professionals who want to build practical skills in digital business improvement, innovation and change, and for learners seeking to progress their careers in modern organisations where digital capability and continuous improvement are increasingly important.
Accreditation: NFQ Level 8 – Special Purpose Award 20 ECTS
PROGRESSION
Graduates will also be able to continue seamlessly to the Certificate in Digitalisation and AI (a 20 ECTS programme), Certificate in Sustainability Practices for Digital Transformation (a 20 ECTS Programme) or theBachelor of Science (Honours) in Process Digitalisation (a 60 ECTS programme).

Course Outline
This part-time programme runs over 3 months (1 semester). Lectures are delivered online 2 evenings per week. Also 1 -2 Saturdays per month (blend of online & in class).
COURSE CONTENT
- Data Management and Analysis 10 ECTS
- Digital Communication, Visualisation and Professional Practice 5 ECTS
- Digital Process Optimisation 5 ECTS
Entry Requirements
Applicants require a relevant Level 7 qualification or equivalent. Relevant prior learning and industry experience may be considered through RPL.

AFTER THE PROGRAMME
On successful completion, learners will have the knowledge and practical skills to contribute to business improvement and digital change initiatives across a wide range of sectors. Graduates may use the programme to strengthen their current role, support progression into roles linked to operations, improvement, project support or digital change, or prepare for further study.
The programme also provides a foundation for progression to further education in areas such as business improvement, digital transformation, operations, leadership, project management or related disciplines. It supports both immediate workplace application and longer-term professional development in organisations seeking more agile, efficient and digitally capable teams.
